Language

There are actually two languages in Scotland: English and Gaelic. Gaelic is the historical language of the Scottish people and is still spoken in much of the Highlands and in some of the nearby islands. Gaelic is making a comeback in the lowlands, and being taught in an increasing number of primary and secondary schools.
While there are a few Gaelic speakers in the Church, it is not a
language you will encounter on a day-to-day basis.
If you would like to experience some of the Gaelic language a few of our members are presently taking Gaelic classes and would be glad to take you along.
